How crazy an idea is that? Traffic wardens have enough power - but now they’re going to have the power to fine skip hire companies for not having lights, permits or overloading the skips? It’s the customers that overload the skip, and lights get nicked by students all the time. Fair enough on the permits, but the question is: who are they going to fine? Is a skip hire company going to have to leave CCTV on their skips to prove that they did leave lights on them? I really like this personal secured loans story - it’s always nice to hear how other people’s relationship with debt is if only to make you realise that your own ain’t so bad (or maybe worse!!!). This story is particularly nice because he tells of his survival and ultimate conquest over his debts despite being advised to go bankrupt in his mid-20s.

This really amused me last week. The magician Paul Daniels became a customer of our company when he hire a couple of containers from us to store his magic tricks. I believe he took a couple of 40ft ex-shipping containers. They’re fantastic for weather proof non-permanent storage.

Does that mean we are now magical container hire specialists?

We got a real shock (no pun intended) at work recently because someone got an electrical shock from the kettle in the office kitchen. We were lucky that they didn’t take any legal action against us because we had not had any portable appliance testing (PAT testing) done on any of our portable appliances. This was an honest oversight on our part, but I’d recommend that if anyone out there has any portable appliances in their place of work that they are regularly tested
to avoid this, or worse, happening to you.

With all the talk of stock market crashes, interest rates rise etc. going on at the moment, it is easy to see how consumer confidence is reducing (in fact, I believe it is being manipulated down by the powers that be followed by the obedient media). What this will produce is an increasing number of people looking for a quick house sale because they just ain’t shifting through estate agents. The maths is simple: many people have a hige amount of equity in the properties produced by the recent long term house price boom. Couple this with secured loan and credit card debts AND a drop in confidence it starts to make sense to think “I should sell my house fast and rent it back” to get control of finances as well has not have the need to actually move.

Talking of wine and the accessibility of it you can now buy wine online where ever you are. The power of the internet now allows you to order the finest vintage from the comfort of your armchair. Fantastic!

Remember the other day when I was talking about hiring a skip back in the UK? Well I found a fantastic skip hire company after shopping around for a while. I thought skip hire manchester would be difficult but this company sorted my skip permit out and everything. I have been so used to speaking to builders when ordering skips in the past that I nearly fell of the chair when a smart sexy girl (well she sounded it!) answered the phone.

It’s about time companies started taking it seriously in the waste industry!

I remember when I was living back in the UK, I found some lovely wine shops and I have asked myself whether I miss them, so is it wine manchester or wine Paris?  What do you think stupid? The wine choice here in Paris is phenominal. I don’t think there is anywhere in the world that can beat it so to celebrate I’m going to go out to my favourite bar now and choose a big fat red.
